Joseph Raymond Udinskey, 83, of Upper Darby Pa currently residing at Willow Valley Arbor View died peacefully on January 27, 2012. He was a devoted husband to Ann Udinskey for 60 years.
Born in Pittston Pa, Joseph was the son of Joseph and Stella (Mitskus) Udinsky. He grew up in Pittston, PA, attending the local schools. Joseph graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering class of 1969. During World War II, he served in the Army, participating in the Japanese occupation.
Joseph was very proud of his 37 years of service with The Philadelphia Electric Company the 23rd and Market main office from which he retired in 1991 as the branch head for the Electrical Design Division. Joe enjoyed his hobbies which included bowling, crossword puzzles, fishing and antique cars.
Surviving Joseph are his wife, Ann; Joseph Jr (son) and Christine Weis of Bear, Del, Sharon (daughter) and James Welsh of Lancaster, Pa, and John (Brother) and Susan Lukaszewski of Ambler, Pa, as well as four grandchildren, Joseph Udinskey III and Jonathon, Daniel and Casey Jo Welsh. Joseph was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and caregivers of Willow Valley Arbor View.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at 4 PM from St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 501 E. Orange St. Lancaster, PA. The family will greet after the service. A private service will be held at a later date in the Pittston area.
