Joyce A. Burdzy-Klaus
Joyce A. Burdzy-Klaus, 54, of Leola, Pa ended a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and passed away peacefully on Sunday October 30

, 2011 at Maple Farms Nursing Home, Akron. Born in Montclair, NJ she was the daughter of Bruno Burdzy and Katherine Wladar (Kotinsky).
Joyce was a 79’ graduate of Kansas University and attended Millersville University while working towards her master’s degree in elementary education. She was unable to finish her master’s degree due to the illness. Joyce was also a lifetime member of the Manheim Township Ambulance Association, and also volunteered at Medic 5 in Elizabethtown, PA.
In addition to her husband Edward L. Klaus of Leola, she is survived by her mother Katherine Kotinsky of Lititz, father Bruno Burdzy of New Jersey, brother Thomas Burdzy of New Jersey, son Philip J. Burdzy-Klaus of Lititz, and daughter Jenna M. Burdzy-Klaus of Leola.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Society 2040 Linglestown Rd. Suite #104 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
