June E. Aierstock

June E. Aierstock passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Ponte Vedra, Florida.  She was born on February 9, 1922 in Lancaster PA, to the late Raymond H. Aierstock and the late Ethel (Deiter). June was among the first graduates of J.P. McCaskey High School in 1939.  Upon graduating from Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts, she worked in Washington, D.C. for the Office of Price Administration.  Several years later, June joined the Red Cross and was stationed in Japan.  She returned to the states and began her career as realtor and property manager in Arlington, VA.  For the past ten years she became a permanent snowbird, residing in Ponte Vedra, Florida, to be near her nephew and his family.  June enjoyed the theater, the arts, playing the piano, and traveling.   Surviving are her sister, Lois A. Hastings, her nieces and nephew, Cindy H., wife of Scott Anderson,  Beth H. , wife of John Hendrix, Doug Hastings, husband of Adela, and Sally B., wife of Brad Albert.  In addition, June is survived by 11 great nieces and nephews.  June will be lovingly remembered as the Auntie Mame of our family.  Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
