Kelly Ann Kile

Kelly Ann Kile, 33, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on November 18, 2024. Born in Atlanta, GA, Kelly was the daughter of Karen McCafferty and Mark Robinson.

She graduated from Avon Grove High School in West Grove, PA in 2009. After high school, Kelly attended Penn State University’s Mont Alto Campus where she achieved an associate of science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. Kelly dedicated her career to caring for others as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Lancaster, PA.

While at work as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Kelly met the love of her life, Matt Kile. They shared twelve beautiful years of love at their home in Lancaster, PA. Kelly enjoyed vacations with her husband, especially in Canada and the Outer Banks, NC, and was an avid fan of the New York Giants and Philadelphia Flyers. Among her other hobbies, she was also a gifted and creative crafter, and an avid thrifter. Kelly’s dedication to helping others included fostering dogs for adoption with her pack of pups Ziggy, Piper, Drea, and Penelope.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Matt Kile, of Lancaster, PA; her mother, Karen McCafferty, of Lancaster, PA; her father, Mark Robinson, of Oxford, PA; her sister, Nicole Powlison, of Springfield, VA; her uncle Stephen McCafferty of East Rutherford, NJ; and many devoted friends. She has found eternal peace alongside her maternal grandmother Teruko McCafferty, her maternal grandfather George McCafferty, her paternal grandmother Shirley Smedley, and her paternal grandfather Bill Smedley.

Kelly’s fight against breast cancer was an inspiration: she met each challenge with a spirit of fortitude and joy. Kelly’s family wishes to sincerely thank the nurses, doctors, and staff of Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute for their compassionate care for Kelly during her battle.

Kelly led a caring, active, and beautiful life, where she touched so many with her humor, joy, and kindness. She will be profoundly missed.

A life celebration will be held at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM.
