Kenneth Eugene Plump “Gene”

Kenneth Eugene Plump “Gene” age 89 of Whiting N.J. passed away on May 24, 2016 at the Pines of Whiting, he formerly resided in Manahawkin N.J.  He was born on Union City N.J. and was a retired systems analyst with Becton Dickson Co. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Parkertown N.J. and was predeceased by his loving wife Catherine, daughter Phyllis Sanders, sons Tommy & Kenny Mattern and grandson Ken Mattern Jr.

Gene is survived by his brother Bill Plump (Peggy) and their children of Milford DE. his daughter in law Donna Mattern of Middletown N.Y., grandsons Shaun & Matthew Mattern of Monticello N.Y., & David Mattern of Freehold N.J. & Christopher Tschantre of  Middletown N.Y. and great grandchildren Alexis, Shaun Jr., & Rozlynn Mattern. and his companion Joan Guckenberger of Whiting N.J.

Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to a service with military honors at the Brig Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery 350 Provinceline Rd. Wrightstown N.J. 08562 on Friday June 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. (Kindly arrive by 12:45 p.m. we will be escorted to the chapel).  Memorial donations are being requested to the Calvary Baptist Church 850 Railroad Ave. Little Egg Harbor N.J. 08087.
