Kenneth “Ken” Helm, 87, of Lancaster died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Dennis) Helm. They were married 63 years in June 2012.
He is also survived by a son: Craig M. Helm, husband of Melissa J.; and two daughters: Terry H. Ebersole, wife of J. Rollin, and Nancy E. Helm, partner of Sophia B.; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII as a tail gunner.
He retired in 1988 after a lifelong career at Armstrong World Industries.
Ken enjoyed many summers camping and fishing on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands with his family.
At his request there will be no service. Contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
