Kevin R. Kneisley

Kevin Richard Kneisley, age 58, left this earth on December 14, 2024. He is now walking the streets of heaven, after being in a wheelchair for 40 plus years. He is survived by his wife, Simone, his father Dick Kneisley, stepmother Sandy Kneisley, mother Kay Kneisley, sister Vicki Piersol and her husband Tom. A stepsister, Tami Grove. Nieces Samantha Swartz (Josh), Felicia Nelson and nephew Ben Piersol. Also, many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins who loved him. We will all miss him greatly.

Kevin was born in Lancaster and went to city schools. After a shooting accident in June 1978, that left him with a spinal cord injury, he went to Country Day School. He then went to Florida and graduated from a Montessori school. When he came back to Lancaster, he went to Millersville University for a year then back to Florida for a year at the University of Florida. Eventually he decided to go to Florida International University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. He also received an MBA from West Chester University. He lived and worked in Chester County: sometimes traveling to different nursing homes and hospitals. He made lasting friendships wherever he went. Kevin went to Argentina with a friend who designed wheelchairs to demonstrate his own wheelchair. While there he met Simone, who came to the US and they married 3 years ago.

He liked to travel and deer hunting with his Dad. He got a red-tailed buck in Argentina, a buck in Texas and recently a doe in South Carolina. He also liked to cook, and he loved his family. A big thank you to Vicki and Tom for all the help they gave Kevin over the years. Thanks also for the care he got at Paoli Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held at Honeybrook Golf Course, 1422 Cambridge Rd., Honeybrook, PA, on January 11, 2025, at 1 PM.
