Larry G. Castleman, 75, of Lancaster, died on Saturday, August 2, 2014 after a short stay at Conestoga View Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born in Eugene, OR, he was the son of the late Ben L. and Marie All Castleman. Larry retired from Armstrong World Industries after 37 years, where he worked as a foreman at the Floor Plant Distribution Center.
In his younger years, Larry was a talented athlete excelling in soccer, ice-hockey, and baseball. He late became a water and snow skiing enthusiast. Most recently, Larry enjoyed gardening, golfing and walking. Larry was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lancaster, and attended First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster.
Surviving are two children, Greg K. Castleman husband of Jacquelyn (Aten) Castleman of Millersville, and Wendy C. Nolan wife of Wesley C. Nolan of Columbia; three grandchildren, Kelsey E. Nolan, Mackenzie F. Nolan and Taylor C. Nolan, all of Columbia; two sisters, Sandy L. Foltz of Millersville, and Elaine C. Saunders wife of Louis R. Saunders, Jr. of Lancaster; a brother, Robert L. Castleman husband of Lisa of Lancaster; and former wife, Sandra G. Castleman. He was preceded in death by a sister M. Joann Castleman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
