Larry A. Thomas, 63, of Landisville, died Monday, May 3, 2010 following a brief illness at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy.
He was the husband of Carol S. Simpson Thomas. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Lois L. Eshleman Thomas of Millersville, and the late Abram M. Thomas.
Larry was the owner of Thomas Motors in Manheim for many years. He was a member of Calvary Church. Larry was a graduate of Millersville University and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He enjoyed golf, reading, traveling and spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife and mother is a daughter, Angie Thomas of Lancaster; a granddaughter, Brittany Thomas; two grandsons, Corey Roman and Sean Thomas; a stepdaughter, Jennifer A. wife of Tim Hartel of Lititz; a step-granddaughter, Ella G. Hartel; a step-grandson, Evan Hartel; one sister, Jean wife of Harold Hershey, The Villages, FL; one brother, J.R. husband of Jan Thomas of Winter Haven, FL; two stepsisters, Lin Nagy of Stevens, and Cindy wife of Bill Burr of Ephrata.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. David D. Allen officiating. Friends may call at the Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster, PA.
