Laura V. Sheerer, 93, a resident of Willow Valley, died Monday, August 22, 2011 at Arbor View at Willow Valley.
She was the wife of the late Walter G. Sheerer who died in 2008. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Howard C. and Ella Hicks Hild.
Laura was a homemaker and earlier in life had worked in the Personnel Dept. of Providence Mutual Life Insurance Co.
She enjoyed attending Vespers Service at Willow Valley, knitting and crocheting.
Surviving is a daughter Virginia S. wife of James W. Boghosian of Lancaster; a grandson Matthew J. husband of Sarah Boghosian of Aston, PA; and two brothers, Theodore E. Hild of Towanda, PA and DeWitt B. Hild of Eagles Mere, PA.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Sheerer’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9638.
