Lena M. Hildebrand

Lena M. Hildebrand, 99, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Hamilton Arms Center.  She was the wife of the late Richard H. Hildebrand to whom she was married to for 64 years.   Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late John G. and Fannie Mae (Shellenberger) Glick.

In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, knitting, doing word puzzles, gardening in her yard and spending time with her family.  She was a member of various card clubs and bowling leagues, The Sunshine Bible Class, The Ladies Missionary Society, and was active in many committees at Covenant United Methodist Church where she was a member.

She is survived by two sons; Glenn R. Hildebrand (husband of Charmaine) and Barry Lee Hildebrand (husband of the late Tina); 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.    Also surviving are two sisters; Arlene Glick and Virginia Yuninger.  She was predeceased by 2 brothers, and 5 sisters.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at Covenant United Methodist Church, 110 N. Mulberry St, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM. with the Rev. Jeffrey Snyder officiating.   A visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will be private at Silver Spring Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
