Leonard James Clark, 81, of Masonic Village, died peacefully on May 5, 2010. He was the devoted husband of Doris Mae Kirchner Clark, and they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in December.
Born in Sunbury, PA on Dec. 31, 1928, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Mary Catherine Welsh Clark. In addition to his loving wife, Doris, he is survived by a daughter, Jeanne M. Brooks, her fiance, Harry Freas, and a sister, Jean Harriet Chappell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph W. Clark, and a sister, Charlotte J. Arbogast.
Len served in the USAF for 20 years, the Reserves for 10 years and was an air traffic controller. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants’ Assoc. and American Legion Post 34.
Len enjoyed driving and did so for Mayflower, Yellow Freight, Johnson Bus, Manheim Auto Auction and Masonic Homes. He and Doris took many enjoyable road trips together. He was also pilot, fisherman, and loved to dance with Doris.
He belonged to Lancaster Lodge 43, Rajah Temple, and was a past president of Lancaster County Shrine Club. He was an Oriental Band member and involved in many other masonic organizations.
