Levi S. Fisher, 91, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 1 at Woodcrest Villa.
Born in Soudersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Elam and Sarah Fisher and the husband of the late Barbara Ann Fisher.
He was preceded in death by brothers Isaac, Elmer, Stephen and Elam Jr., and sisters Salome, Susie, Mary, Rachel, and Barbara. Surviving sisters are Lydia Stoltzfoos, Sarah King, Malinda (married to Emanuel King), Fannie (married to Abram King), and a brother-in-law David J. Bell.
Levi attended school in East Lampeter Township and Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. He was employed by Slater Food Service, with whom he served at Penn State University. For most of his professional career, he worked as the manager and executive chef at the Armstrong Manor on Lititz Pike until retirement. Following his career, he assisted a retired couple as a gardener and driver.
Levi was a long-standing member of Calvary Church of Lancaster, where he ushered and catered the annual missions conferences. He enjoyed traveling, watching the Phillies and Penn State football, drawing pictures of his life on the farm, researching Fisher family genealogy, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his sons: Timothy S., of Aston, PA, married to Elaine G. Fisher; and Brian K., of Lancaster, married to Victoria T. Fisher; and his 3 grandsons: William, Moses, and Isaac.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA with Pastor John Walters officiating. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. until the time of service with a luncheon following. A private family interment will be held in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
