Lois C. Linfield
Lois C. Linfield, 87, a resident of Meadow Ridge at Willow Valley, died Monday, March 13, 2017 at The Glen at Willow Valley.
She was the wife of the late Paul R. Linfield who died in 2003. Born in Boston, MA she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Nellie Gentleman Tewksbury.
Lois was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, knitting, crafts and cooking. She was a 58 year member of the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster where she had been involved with the United Methodist Women. For many years she had been involved with the P.E.O.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Roger P. husband of Brenda Wistor Linfield of Boulder, CO, and Rev. Dr. Kenneth J. husband of Amy Schoone Linfield of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren, Cory husband of Allisa Linfield and Kristen Linfield; two sisters, Hazel Arnold of Gainesville, GA and Sally Duprez of Portland, Maine. She was preceded in death by a brother John Tewksbury.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 24, at 7:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 29 E. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Joe DiPaolo officiating. Friends may greet the family at the church on Friday from 5:30 P.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Linfield’s memory may be made to The First United Methodist Church, 29 E. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17602
