Lois W. Nolt

Lois W Nolt was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on October 26, 2024. Born in 1929 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Edmund L and Rosanna V (Gerz) Davis. She graduated from McCaskey High School, Class of 1947.

Lois was married to the love of her life, the late Donald E Nolt, for nearly 68 years. Lois is survived by their 3 children, Bonnie J of Mountville, Rev. Douglas E (wife Judy) of Indian Head, PA, and Wanda S of Baltimore, MD. She was predeceased by their daughter, Kim L Miller (husband Samuel I Miller) of Lancaster. Lois doted on her grandchildren and loved to hear of their growing lives: Daniel Nolt (Lauren) of Wooster OH, Jacob Nolt (Stacey) of Churubusco IN, Ben (Ashley) of California PA, Leah Miller of Harrisburg, Rosetta Gordon (Ben) of Middleburg, and Hope Miller, of Lancaster and 5 great-grandchildren. She also was predeceased by her sister, Pearl W (Davis) Garner.

Lois devoted her life to service as a homemaker, mother, and Sunday School teacher. She used her gift of music singing in choirs and serving as pianist. She was an accomplished seamstress and through that work and her volunteering, developed many life-long friends. She was in regular attendance at Lancaster Church of the Brethren until recently.

A Celebration of Lois’s Life will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 at 11:30 AM at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until time of service.
