Louise Fraser Hatch, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on July 4, 2024 at Homestead Village Retirement Community. Born in Brooklyn NY, she was the daughter of the late Irene and McIntyre Fraser. She was the loving wife of the late John MacLaren Hatch who preceded her in death in 2019.
Louise attended the Albany Academy for Girls where she met many of her life-long friends. She received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 1960, the same year that she married John. Louise dedicated her time, talents and love to her husband and family, raising her three boys as well as managing the household.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, traveling, gourmet cooking and fashion. Louise was an active member of Community Fellowship Church and also enjoyed assisting many Silent Auctions benefitting the Schreiber Pediatric Rehabilitation Center.
Louise is survived by her children, Steve Hatch (husband of Kim), Andy Hatch (husband of Astrid), and John Hatch (husband of Janell). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew (husband of Kali), Dustin (partner of Tiffany), Colin, Seiji and Saya; great-granddaughters, Charleigh and Christine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in the Bachman Center at Homestead Village, 1800 Village Cir, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM. The family will greet informally following the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
