Louise J. Rowits, 86, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Luther Acres in Lititz, PA.
Born August 28, 1927 in Ottawa, OH she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Edna Gardner Jones.
Louise received a Master’s Degree from Ball State University and was employed as an elementary school teacher with the Middlebury School District in Indiana for 20 years.
She was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, and the Indiana State Retired Teachers Association.
Louise was a talented artist and enjoyed knitting and reading.
One of her greatest joys in life was helping to raise her three grandsons.
Surviving is a daughter, Barbara R. wife of Edward Zercher of Lititz; a son, Bruce W. husband of Cynthia Rowits of Ephrata; three grandsons, Edward R. Zercher, Eric J. Rowits and Carl W. Rowits; a sister, Judy McConnell of Cary, NC; and a sister-in-law, Millie Jones of Richmond, VA.
She was preceded in death by a brother John Jones.
There will be no viewing or memorial service.
Private interment in Dale Memorial Park, Richmond, VA.
