Luis B. Pagan, age 85 of Lancaster passed away January 20, 2024 at Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Luis was born in Cayea, Puerto Rico and was the son of Enocencio Pagan and Julia Berrios.
Luis served our country for over 25 years in the US Army and was discharged an E7, he was a member of the National Guard since the age of 18. He was a well known local business owner and founder of the Highland Restaurant and Pizzeria, former owner of the S. Duke St. 7Eleven. He was very active in the Lancaster community and a Founder of SACA, a proud founder and sponsor of the Puerto Rican Parade, and served as a Lancaster City Council Member. He was involved with the creation of the Farnum Street High Rise, and was a member of the Catholic Faith.
Luis was preceded in death by his wife Eva and his son Louis. He is survived by his devoted sons; Douglas L. husband of Argy, Dennis husband of Imelda, Louis companion of Jessica, and Wayne husband of Kyra; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 10 siblings.
Friends and Relatives and the local community are respectfully invited to a Visitation, Monday, January 29, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster PA 17602; the final viewing will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 9 AM until 9:50 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM at the Historic St. Mary's RC Church 119 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's New Catholic Cemetery Bausman PA.
