Madelyn “Mandy” E. Becker

Madelyn “Mandy” E. Becker, 92, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 at Audubon Villa. She was the loving wife of the late Alfred M. Becker who passed away in 2003.

Born in East Weissport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer E. and Beulah S. Israel Messersmith.

Madelyn spent her life serving as a homemaker, church organist and was a long time employee at Bavarian Pretzel at Park City.

She was a proud member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church in East Petersburg, PA where she served as church organist until the time of her passing.

She is survived by a son Donald A. Becker, of Newmanstown, PA; and two daughters, Susan M. Bowman and Sheryl L. Kresge both of Lititz. She was preceded in death by three brothers; George F., Paul R., and Elwood E. Messersmith.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, at 6067 Carpenter Street, East Petersburg, PA 17520 on Tuesday, September, 4th, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Jerry Berrier officiating. There will be an evening viewing Monday, September 3rd, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M at Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 as well as at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
