Margaret Roseann (Plutchak) Brown, 83, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Friday, 12 May 2023 in Lancaster. She was the loving wife of Clyde “Tim” Edwin Brown, Jr. She was born in Butler, PA to the late William F. and Rosalie E. (Damico) Plutchak.
Roseann graduated from Ambridge Area High School, Ambridge, PA. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She taught History and Social Studies at schools in Ohio and Pennsylvania. She was a life-long member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Lancaster where she served on numerous committees. Roseann was a highly skilled seamstress, making clothing for Family and friends. Her most notable creation was her Daughter’s wedding dress. She was an avid gardener and an outstanding cook, at one point, operating a small catering business. She also enjoyed crafts, card games, scrabble, and crossword puzzles.
Roseann is survived by her husband, Tim of Lancaster, their Daughter, Dr. Susan K. Browne and husband Dr. David Browne of Las Vegas, NV, their son, Clyde “Ted” E. Brown, III and wife April L. (Crim) Brown of Archbald, PA, and four grand-daughters; Elena Rose and Natalie Jane Browne and Kaitlyn Morgan and Megan Noel Brown.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Saturday, 19 August 2023 at 11:00 o’clock a.m. with Pastor Linda Hanus officiating. Family and Friends may gather in the church parish house following the Memorial Service. Interment will be private in the Church Garden.
