Margaret “Peggy” I. Marantz

Margaret “Peggy” I. Marantz, 96, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at The Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA.  She was the loving wife of the late Vincent B. Marantz as well as her first husband, the late Robert E. Keys.

Born in Watsontown, PA., she was the daughter of the late William and Rebecca (Raup) Foster.

Margaret, a graduate of Enola High School spent nearly 35 years of her life as a church organist for Calvary United Methodist Church in Lemoyne, PA.

In her spare time she greatly enjoyed ballroom dancing, and in past years was a member of various dance clubs.

She was a member of Hamilton Park United Church of Christ where she served as Supply Organist for many years.

She is survived by a daughter Barbara D. “Dianne” (wife of Carl Crone) of New Cumberland, PA; two sons, Robert (husband of Susan Keys) of East Berlin, PA, and Larry (husband of Cory Keys) of Dover, PA; a step-son, Dale Marantz of Fort Myers, FL, and Step-daughter, Cynthia (wife of Larry Pearson) of Cincinnati, OH.  Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by brothers, William and Elvin Foster, and a sister Elaine Garbrick.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Hamilton Park United Church of Christ, 1210 Maple Ave. Lancaster, PA 17603 on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM.  A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill, PA.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Hamilton Park United Church of Christ at the address shown above.
