She was active in Boy Scouts, the nurses’ alumni association, Lancaster Town Fair, and the Women’s Garden Club.  She was involved in starting the now thriving community breakfast at First Reformed Church.  She worked for the American Diabetes Association. After that she became the first McNinch Visiting/Parish nurse for First Presbyterian Church and served in this capacity for 17 years, using her gifts of empathy, compassion, and service, all the while nurturing “her people’s” faith.
