Marian R. Kreider
Marian R. Kreider went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 86 on April 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Clyde Kreider in 2009, and a beloved daughter, Lisa Y. Graybill in 1991. Born in Martic Township, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Solidan) Erb.
Marian worked at many local companies throughout the years, including Joe Myers Restaurant, RCA, and Flexsteel Industries. She retired after many years of service from AT&T where she had been a telephone operator.
She led an active life of service to her church family at Grace Baptist Church. She was always involved with children’s ministries and had led the women’s ministry for many years. She had many interests including designing and making up to 100 bridal gowns, bridesmaids and flower girls dresses. Her intricate love of detail was admired by many.
Marian loved to travel, and with her husband, Clyde traveled to many areas of the United States.
She is survived by her children: R., Scott, husband of Kathleen Graybill of Tulsa, OK; Larry A., husband of Linda Graybill of Erdenheim, PA; Linda S. Sheaffer of Manheim; and Dale R. Kreider of Lancaster; her step-sons: Terry, husband of Gisela Carper of Culpepper, VA; and David, husband of Betty Carber of Wells Point, TX. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Ruth Vickers of New Danville, PA and Shirley Fritz of Smoketown, PA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service to celebrate Marian’s life at Grace Baptist Church, 1899 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
