Wright,  Marianne “Mannie”Louise Thorne, 83, passed away surrounded by family on September 16 at 4:15 pm at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Easton, MD from complications associated with Parkinson’s Disease. Born on November 1, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA, Mannie was the beloved daughter of John and Louise (Reinecke) Thorne. Mannie graduated from Chatham College and went on to teach elementary school. Mannie married the love of her life, Rev. Robert “Bob” Hodgson Wright, on Feb. 25, 1955 in Pittsburgh, PA and enjoyed 52 years of marriage before his death in 2007.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth “Libbie” Wright Jae (Jeff) of Tampa, FL and Marian Wright Sieke (Steve) of Easton, MD. She is also survived by four grandsons; Ryan Taudte Jae (Emily) of Havertown, PA, David Price Jae (Amanda) of Tampa, FL, Alexander Thorne Sieke (Helen) of San Francisco, CA and John “Jack” Wright Sieke, of New York, NY, and one great-granddaughter; Jane Pillsbury Sieke of San Francisco, CA. She is survived by two sisters, Carol King of Pittsburgh and Phoebe Birmingham of Cleveland and one brother-in-law William King. Mannie also cherished her many nieces and nephews and their children.

Mannie loved cooking, crafting, reading, entertaining and nurturing the many relationships in her life. She relished her time at their Lake Wallenpaupack home in the Poconos and the many trips they took with their close friends and family. A Celebration of LIfe Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at Grandview Heights United Methodist Church, 888 Pleasure Road in Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at Grandview UMC from 10:00am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Michael J.
