Marie E. Kling
Marie E. Kling, 68, of Lancaster, died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was married for 30 years to David M. Kling. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Dorothy Slaight Jantzer.
Marie was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Lancaster, where she served on the administrative board, the kitchen committee and the safe sanctuary committee. She was also involved as a Christ Servant Minister with the United Methodist Church. Marie had been involved with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as a committee member and organizational representative for over 35 years. Her interests included camping, reading, cooking and playing games on the Kindle.
Surviving besides her husband is a daughter Patricia Ruiz fiancé of Michael Nutter of Leola; two sons, Michael Stermer of Tully, NY and Robert husband of Susan Stermer of Lancaster; five grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Doreen, Tommy, Casey, Dylan and Bobby; and three brothers, Bert husband of Andrea Jantzer of St. James, NY, Andrew Jantzer husband of Andrea Murray of Brooklyn, NY, and Ronald husband of Debbie Jantzer of Keeseville, NY.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Community United Methodist Church, 130 Tennyson Drive, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Carolene Brubaker officiating. Friends may call at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Kling’s memory may be made to Community United Methodist Church, 130 Tennyson Drive, Lancaster, PA 17602 or to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
