Marjory Wallace Owen departed this life on December 28, 2010 as a result of natural causes. She was a resident of Pleasure Road in M a n h e i m Township for many years. Marjory was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William A. Wallace. She was the wife of John L. Owen of Lancaster, and the mother of three sons, John W. Owen of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, David Owen of Lancaster and New Jersey, and Jeffrey D. Owen, husband of Anneliese H. Owen, of Lancaster. Marjory graduated from Martinsburg High School and from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She attended Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. She was well-regarded for her soprano voice and ballroom dancing. Marjory was a member of the Donegal Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She loved working with children and guiding them to expand their lives and to respect others. Marjory was a collector, especially of family artifacts. She preserved countless family memories. We, the family, remember Marjory for her contributions to our lives. She taught us, encouraged us, and enriched us. She protected us, and omforted us. She loved us with all her might. With strength, she brought her sons into this world, and with courage, she leads all of us from this world. We look forward to our reunion. Marjory will always be a part of us, and we will always be a part of her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
