Marlyn Irene Buehler
Marlyn Irene Buehler, 87, passed away in Lancaster, PA on March 25, 2013 at home here in Lancaster with her children surrounding her. Born in Geneseo, KS, she was the daughter of the late John and Irmina Workman Gibson. Her husband, William Buehler, passed away April 15, 2010.
Marlyn was an amazing mother and grandmother. Her gift of hospitality was evident in her love of cooking and entertaining. She led Bible study groups, was a church organist and excellent story teller. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, and spending time with their family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Susan Harvard of Elverson, PA, George Buehler of Pasadena, CA, Marlyn Buehler of New York, NY, Rebecca, wife of the Rev. Geoffrey Kohler of Lancaster, PA, and Laurie Buehler of New York, NY; her grandchildren: Katherine, wife of Erik Wiebe, Samuel and Carrie Kohler, Tessa, wife of Matt Cogliano, and William Harvard; her great grandchildren, Jakob, Dara and Kaden Wiebe, and John and Thomas Cogliano; and her sister, Dixie, wife of Dean Blackwelders of San Pedro, CA. She was predeceased by a son John Buehler.
A memorial service will be held this summer in Southern CA. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
