Mary A. “Nan” Zimmerman,

Mary A. “Nan” Zimmerman, 78, of Lancaster, PA, died Thursday, F e b r u a r y 10th, at Conestoga View. She was the wife of Wayne A. Zimmerman, and they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Maurice N. and Emma Walters Kachel. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former playground assistant at Lafayette Elementary School. She was a 1951 graduate of J.P. McCaskey H.S. and enjoyed bingo, swimming, reading, going to the movies and going out to dinner as well as spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Terry L., husband of Linda A. Zimmerman of New Providence; two daughters, Karen L., wife of Thomas W. Shultz and Lori A. Williams, both of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Nikki Zimmerman, Derrick Shultz, David Williams and Nicholas Williams; and two sisters, Edythe Martin and Evelyn Dunn. She was predeceased by a son, Gary L. Zimmerman. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral from First United Methodist Church, corner of Duke and Walnut Streets, Lancaster, PA on Monday, February 14th, at 11:00 A.M. The family will greet friends on Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be in Riverview Burial Park. Please omit flowers.
