Mary Helen Hertzler, 83, of Luther Acres in Lititz, PA and formerly of Lancaster, PA died Thursday, April 30th at the Lancaster General Hospital with her family by her side.
She was the widow of O. Henry Hertzler, Jr. who died in September of 1975. Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late James M. and Helen B. Morrin.
Mrs. Hertzler was a wonderful, proud and loving mother and grandmother, whose family always came first. She was a life member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lancaster, a graduate of J.P. McCaskey H.S. and Millersville State Teachers College, and taught school for several years.
She is survived by two sons; James H., husband of Nancy A. Hertzler of Enola, PA and Richard O. Hertzler of Lancaster; four granddaughters, Brooke A., Kate O., and Lauren E. Hertzler, all of Enola, PA and Olivia R. Hertzler of Willow Street, PA; one sister, Dorothy Louise Schwartz; a niece, Linda Abessinio; two nephews, John A. Schwartz, Jr. and Timothy J. Schwartz all of Lancaster.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service from Grace Lutheran Church, corner of James and Queen Sts., Lancaster, PA on Tuesday, May 5th at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
