Mary J. Becken

Mary J. Becken, 92, of Lancaster, passed away on March 17, 2020 at Hospice & Community Care.  She was the loving wife of the late Rev. Otto F. Becken. Born in Long Island, New York, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Nina (Fulkerson) Jones.

Mary spent much of her life as an educator as well as a nurse.

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her children, Donna McDonnell (wife of Jay) of Cherry Hill NJ, and a son Donald Becken of Rochester NY; 4 grandchildren, Michael Becken, Jennifer Diegel, Jillian Diegel and Jacob Diegel; and three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Diegel, Aiden Becken and Madalyn Becken.

A visitation will be held at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 2024 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Monday, March 23, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.  Private graveside service will be in Brookfield Cemetery in Manorville, Long Island, NY.  Flowers are welcome.
