Meleney Abromaitis Martin
Meleney Abromaitis Martin, 44, passed away at her home in Lancaster on September 19, 2014 after battling brain cancer for over a year. Meleney is survived by her loving husband Alan; son Alec; parents Joe and Betsy Abromaitis of Oak Bluffs, MA and The Villages, FL; siblings James Abromaitis of Conestoga, PA and Grace Simpkins wife of Mike of Falmouth, MA.
A lifetime resident of the Lancaster area, Meleney was born on April 30
th
, 1970 and graduated from Penn Manor High School class of 1988. She was an active member at Millersville Bible Church. She spent many years working at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster and most recently worked at JC Penney. Called Mel by her friends, she was an amazing artist who enjoyed painting flowers and scenes from her lifelong vacation spot of Martha’s Vineyard. She enjoyed spending time with her son Alec and husband Alan. Meleney loved to sing and listen to a wide variety of music. Her beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
A funeral service for Meleney will be held on Saturday, September, 27, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Millersville Bible Church, 1940 New Danville Pike, Lancaster, PA with a burial service on Martha’s Vineyard at a later date.
