Melinda Anne Farr

Melinda Anne Farr, 55, of Lancaster, passed away on April 26, 2020 at Rose City Rehabilitation Center, the facility where she was living. She was a loving mother to her four children whom she loved with her whole heart. She was also a loving sister and an amazing friend to those that knew her.

She was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Helen and Chester Mahle.

After high school, she studied to become a CNA to later on work in a nursing home.

She then pursued a career at Simmons motel in Hershey, Pennsylvania where she worked for 20 years.

Melinda had an amazing spirit and personality and always made friends very easily throughout her life. She always knew how to put a smile on anyone’s face including her children.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, loved ceramics, decorating all out for holidays, knitting, making art with her children, spring cleaning, dancing around the living room to her 80’s music, and making her kids laugh. She was the best mother anyone could ever ask for.

She is survived by her four children; Saundra “Nikki” Snyder, 33 of Bluffdale, Utah, Suzanne Miller, 29 wife to Keith of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Jennifer “Shelby” Reed, 27 of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and Justin “Brandon” Reed, 26 husband to Brittany of Bellwood, Pennsylvania. Also surviving is her brother, Michael Mahle, 59 of Columbia, Pennsylvania.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a small gathering which will be arranged by her children on a date they will release at a later date with all of her children officiating. Friends may greet the family from the small memorial until the time of the service. She is being taken to one of her favorite places to be released by her children.
