Melody S. Carter, 64, of Lancaster, passed away on September 14, 2015 at Lancashire Hall. She was the loving wife of Harrison Carter.
Born in Queens, NY then later moved to Lancaster she spent much of her career as a homemaker.
In her spare time she enjoyed listening to jazz music, knitting, and watching television.
In addition to her husband Harrison, she is survived by three sons, Raymond Porter, Leonard Porter, and Andre Hays; 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her daughter Danielle Hoskins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. Luke’s United Church of Christ Memorial Gardens.
