Meta B. Grill

Meta B. Grill (“Oma”), 90, of

Millersville

, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Hospice & Community Care.  She was the wife of the late Maximilian Joseph Grill, Sr. who passed away in 2014.

She leaves her daughter, Dorothy

Gamaldi

; son, Max Grill Jr; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; as well as countless friends in both Pennsylvania and her ancestral home in Germany.

Meta was born to Anton & Johanna Bonzel, raised in

Kelsterbach

Germany, and immigrated to America in 1954.

She spent much of her professional career as a kindergarten teacher focusing on early childhood education.  She was a true pioneer in Montessori Education, and the founder and administrator of Hansel & Gretel Early Learning Centers, Inc.

In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and fine needle point embroidery; senior physical fitness and wellness participant.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Mark Russell officiating.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O.
