Michael B. Bush

Michael B. Bush, 66, of Lancaster died at home on April 25, 2013 following a 13- year battle with cancer.  He was born on March 29, 1947 in Cortland, NY to Lewis A. and Pearl Brooks Bush.  He married Kathryn Baker Bush on August 29, 1970.

Surviving besides his wife are his daughter Tamara LaMantia (Steve) of Arlington, VA and son Michael Bush (Amy) of Lancaster, PA; grandchildren Edie and Ellie LaMantia, Evan and Owen Bush; sister Louise Potter (Jim); brothers Lewis Bush (Peggy), Clinton Bush, and Duane Bush; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael lived most of his life in Cortland County, NY and spent the last 18 years in Lancaster, PA.  He graduated from Homer High School in 1964, served in the US Air Force, and was employed by Smith Corona as an engineering assistant.

Mike was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.  He enjoyed dancing, completing home improvement projects, working around the yard, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Monday, April 29th at Hempfield United Methodist Church, 3050 Marietta Ave., Lancaster PA.  The family will greet friends at the church on Monday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service
