Michelle L. Blazic

Michelle L. Blazic, 45, of Lancaster, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy.  She was the wife of Kirk J. Blazic for 23 years.

Michelle was born in Lancaster, on June 7, 1968.  She was the daughter of Robert E. and Marlene (Sinke) Berkey of Manchester, TN.

She graduated from Penn Manor High School in 1986 and Millersville University with a B.A. in Psychology in 1990.  Michelle worked at First United Methodist Church in downtown Lancaster as the Director of Children’s Ministries where she was an active member since 1996.

Michelle was an avid photographer and scrap booker and she enjoyed trips to the beach with her family.  She loved children and one of her greatest joys was developing loving and nurturing programs to introduce children to Jesus.  As such, she was instrumental in running the very successful Upward basketball program at FUMC.

In addition to her husband and parents, Michelle is survived by two daughters: Paige A. and Olivia B. and one brother, Steven Berkey of Miami, FL.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral in First United Methodist Church, corner of Duke and Walnut Sts., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
