Mildred Cox Welde was born in Detroit Michigan on November 8, 1931 and passed from this life on October 25, 2015.
She graduated from Bob Jones University with a BS degree in Elementary Education. Mildred was an elementary school teacher in Pasadena California, Boyton Beach, Florida Dallas Texas, and Kimberton Pennsylvania. She received recognition as a leader in Future Teachers of America at American University in Washington DC. She won for pulchritude at Bob Jones University. She received the award for teacher of the year as 5
th
grade teacher in Boyton Beach.
She was the wife of Matthew J Welde and mother of Dawn Welde, Stephen Welde, Charlene Welde and Sharon Welde Cargill. She had 6 grandchildren, Hannah, Dan, Ruthie and Esther Cargill, and Jonathon and Caleb Welde. She was a gifted musician, playing the piano and organ for preaching services in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Norristown, Pennsylvania. She taught Sunday School, children’s church, and taught women and children in missionary churches around the globe. Mildred was best known for her kind and gentle spirit, her childlike joy in the simple pleasures of life, for her beauty both inside and out, she has gone to receive her reward in heaven.
