Miriam J. Potts
Miriam J. Potts, 101, of Kinzers, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Frank Potts who died in 1973. Born March 19, 1912 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Peter Thomas Ruth and Blanche Mellinger Ruth.
Mrs. Potts was a homemaker and earlier in life had worked at Consolidated Cigar. She was of the Lutheran Faith and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and cooking.
Surviving are three sons, Walter A. Kirchoff of Frankford, DE, Richard G. husband of Deloris Kirchoff of Lititz, and Frank M. husband of Sue Potts of Pequea; a daughter Kathleen M. Wilson of Kinzers; nine grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Merle, Thomas and Elwood Ruth.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at Riverview Burial Park, 1100 South Duke St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Mary Margaret Ruth officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
