Miriam “Mim” Stokes

Miriam “Mim” Stokes, 98, of Lancaster, PA died Monday September 26th at Brethren Village. She was the wife of the late Daniel J. Stokes who died September 27, 1974. Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late Enos and Sarah Trout. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Lancaster and the United Methodist Women. Mim retired from the Lancaster County Treasurers and Registration Department. She was the member of the Lancaster Opera Company Association and a Charter member of the Conestoga View Auxiliary. She is survived by a son Ronald G., husband of Jo Stokes of Lancaster and two granddaughters, Holly, wife of Michael Frontz and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Samantha Frontz of Lititz, and Rebecca, wife of Lee Peters, Jr., and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Alyssa Peters of Canton, CN.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral from the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster, PA on Thursday, September 29th at 10:30 A.M. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Private interment will be held in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Please omit flowers, if desired, contributions in her memory may be sent to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 29 E. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17602.
