Myrna Weed passed away on April 30th at Willow Valley Retirement Community after a short illness.  She was born in Philadelphia on April 21, 1922 to Raymond and Anna  May (Latshaw) Kroll of Mt. Carmel, PA.  A graduate of Cheltenham High School and Skidmore College, she married George B. Weed on October 6, 1945 and raised four sons in Wyncote, PA.   She loved her many friends, playing Bridge, her activities at Calvary Presbyterian Church, and travel.  She volunteered with the local Blood Mobile, tutored adults in the E.S.L. program, and was a teaching assistant at Glenside Elementary School.

After moving to Willow Valley in 2000, Myrna became an active member of First Presbyterian Church and continued her activities of Bridge, traveling, and reading.

She is survived by her sons Pete (Barbara), Steve (Jackie), Mike (Susan), and John, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her niece Diane Seeger, her nephew Doug Kroll (Linda), and their children and grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband George B. Weed and her brother, Raymond F. Kroll, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 140 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Geoffrey Kohler officiating.  The family will greet friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment private.

In Lieu of flowers, remembrances, in Myrna Weed’s memory, may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
