Nancy A. Earhart, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 6. Formerly of East Petersburg, she passed of natural causes at Ephrata Manor United Church of Christ Home where she resided for 11 years. Born on September 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Blanche Pickel.
Nancy attended Hempfield High School where she was a gifted athlete. She was a varsity cheerleader and played on the high school field hockey team. Nancy later organized a female softball team that even competed against male teams.
She worked for Lambert Hudnut in Lititz before becoming a stay at home mother. She later returned to work at Donnelly Printing before her retirement.
Nancy loved spectator sports including tennis, baseball and football. Her favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. She enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, coins and stamps. She had deep love for animals, especially cats. She always had bread and peanuts with her so she could feed the ducks and squirrels during her visits to the park.
Surviving is one daughter, Stacey, wife of Tim Bauer of Mount Joy, and four sisters; Sandra, wife of Robert Bowman of Lititz, Bonnie, wife of John W. Long of Lewes DE, Linda Rebman of Lititz and Donna, wife of Robert Musser of Lancaster.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 13, at 11:00 A.M. at the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Edward A. Dickel officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Ephrata Manor, 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
