With profound sadness, the family of Nancy Lea White, 58, announces her unexpected and untimely passing at home, in Lancaster PA on August 23 2018.
Nancy was the daughter of Ann Conway of Norfolk, VA and the late James Florence, retired USN.
Nancy was born in Port Hueneme, CA. As part of a military family, she spent her youth in various locations around the country, and graduated from Maury High School in Norfolk VA.
Nancy had a genuine heart for serving. After high school, she became a nursing assistant and had a special affinity for caring for the elderly. Nancy then spent her years caring for her family, in a way that only she could. Nancy’s children were the most important thing to her; she was so proud of them. They were her Mt. Rushmore. She was their #1 fan of everything they did.
Several years ago, Nancy donated a kidney to a member of her church family who was in need. Her selfless gift allowed that family to have many more cherished years together.
Nancy’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren. She had an undeniable relationship and bond with each of them that will never be replaced.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ken, mother Ann, sisters Susan, Patty, Laurie, and Cindy, daughters Rebecca and LeaAnna, sons Donnie and John, their spouses and significant others, and grandchildren Tyler, Carter, Donovan, Maya, Naomi, Cadyn, and Micah.
Nancy is now at peace. There is no more pain and suffering. She is with the angels now.
A time of remembrance for Nancy will be scheduled in the future.
If desired, contributions can be made to the Four Diamonds Fund to combat pediatric cancer, through the Penn State Health/Hershey Medical Center (childrens.pennstatehealth.org/give).
The family requests that in Nancy’s memory we do the following:
• Hug your loved ones today. We never know what tomorrow might bring.
• Keep your eyes open for the best in people; you’ll always find something there.
• Don’t give up; don’t ever give up.
