Nancy Martin Breneman, 84, of Lancaster, died on March 18, 2015 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy, PA. Born in Lancaster in 1930, she was the daughter of the late Sloane C. and Sara S. Martin. She was the wife of the late Douglas Leroy Breneman who died in March of 1985.
Nancy was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and Dickinson College. She retired as a Social worker from Children and Youth Agency in 1990 after 30 years of service.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster, PA and also a volunteer for the former Hospice of Lancaster County, now known as Hospice and Community Care, for 20 years.
Nancy will be missed by many, including her children, Michael D. Breneman, husband of Margaret; William L. Breneman, husband of Karen; John M. Breneman, partner of Kathy; Laura B. Weidensaul, wife of James; and Kathleen B. Antol; as well as ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son Robert Sloane Breneman.
A Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 S. Duke Street, Lancaster, PA, 17602 on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Augustus G. Mauro and Rev. Timothy A. Mentzer officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
