Nancy W. Collette (Waterman)

Nancy W. Collette (Waterman), 88, passed into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, her Savior on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Willow Valley Retirement Community.  She was the loving wife of the late Alexander D. Collette who went to be with the Lord in 2007.  Born in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Ethel (Ross) Waterman.

Nancy graduated from Millburn High School, Millburn, NJ and attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She lived in Berkeley Heights, NJ after she was married from 1952-1985 where she attended Mountain Ridge Bible Chapel. Following her late husband’s retirement she lived in Conway, SC for 16 years.  In 2001 she moved to her current residence at Willow Valley Retirement Communities in Lancaster, PA.

She was a believer in fellowship with the saints at Monterey Bible Chapel in Leola, PA.  She was active in service to her Lord and Savior through-out her life, serving as Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher, and Ladies Bible study fellowship leader. She also served along with her late husband on various mission trips to France.

She is survived by her son, John A. and his wife Marie of Scotch Plains, NJ; her daughter, Kathryn Smith of Braselton, GA; two grand-daughters, April Murray and Jennifer Morris and five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Virginia Welsher of Chicago, IL.  She was pre-deceased by her sister, Jean Felten.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602, on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 10:30-11:30 A.M.  Interment will follow at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.  A Memorial Service will be held later that day in the Orr Auditorium at Willow Valley Manor, 211 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA at 3:00 P.M.  The family will be available to greet friends immediately following the service.   In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Christian Missions in Many Lands, P.O. Box 13, Spring Lake, NJ, 07762-0013.
