Naomi P. Graver

Naomi P. Glick Harnish Graver, 97, of Lancaster, flew away to be with the Lord on Monday, January 4, 2016.

Born September 18, 1918 in Minot, ND she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Minnie M. Miller Glick.

She was married 20 years to Harold B. Graver.  Her first husband, Amos S. Harnish died in 1992.

Naomi had been employed by Dutchland Tours and had been a tour guide in Lancaster County for 20 years and in Hershey for 16 years.  Harold and Naomi loved to travel and in 1996 they took at 43 day honeymoon which took them as far west as Alaska.  She was president of the West Willow Seniors and planned and coordinated many one day bus trips for them.  Naomi also attended the Golden Agers of Conestoga Valley Church of Christ and enjoyed bus trips with them as well.  She was an avid quilter and quilted for people throughout the United States.

She had been a member of the New Danville Mennonite Church for many years and in 1992 transferred her membership to the Conestoga Valley Church of Christ.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Daniel B. husband of Judy Harnish of Hopewell, PA, and David L. husband of Joy Harnish of New Albany, PA; a daughter, Mary Ann wife of Pat Stripp of Sun City West, AZ; two stepsons, Thomas C. husband of Kamie Graver of Lancaster, and Michael J. husband fo Darlene Graver of Strasburg; a stepdaughter, Debra wife of William Daley of Columbia; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and a foster sister, Mary Aument of Lititz.  She was preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Harold and Paul Glick, by sisters, Elva Cramer and Ruth Glick and by a foster brother David Hartman.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Conestoga Valley Church of Christ, 2045 Horseshoe Road, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Jeff Werkheiser officiating.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Interment in the New Danville Mennonite Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Naomi’s memory may be made to the Conestoga Valley Church of Christ.
