Norma I. Miller, 90, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at Brethren Village. Born in Waldwick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Cornelia Russell Scully. She was the wife of the late Elwood G. Miller.
A homemaker, Norma also worked as an administrative assistant for various companies. An active volunteer, she spent many hours at the Yokefellow Service Center, Spindale, NC. She enjoyed painting, but will best be remembered for her generous and caring spirit.
Surviving are: 2 sons, Elwood M. Miller of Easton, MD, and Kenneth J. Miller of Lancaster; 5 grandchildren, Lynn Miller-Hicks, Jason Miller, James Miller, Timothy Miller, and Tracy Smedley; 4 great-grandchildren, Erwin DeGraef-Hicks, Michael DeGraef-Hicks, Stella Miller, and Cristian Miller.
Funeral services will be held from the Chapel at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at 11 AM. The family will visit with friends at the chapel from 10:30 to 11 AM. Interment will be in Rutherfordton City Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Yokefellow Service Center, 102 Blanton St., Spindale, NC 28160.
