Norval L. Peters
Norval L. Peters “Little Pete,” 83, of Conestoga, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York, PA. He was the loving husband to Bessie (McMinn) Peters. Born in Lancaster Pa, he was the son of the late Abrahm and Elsie (Holland) Peters.
He spent 43 years of his professional career at Armstrong World Industries.
In his spare time he enjoyed wood working, volunteering at The Conestoga Ambulance Association and The Conestoga Fire Hall, and spending time with his children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Bethel Evangelical Congregational Church in Conestoga, PA
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Connie Stumpf of Wrightsville, PA; and two sons, Michael L. (husband of Yvonne Peters) of East Petersburg, PA and Terry L. Peters of Manheim, PA; 5 grand-children and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers; John, Jerome, and Harry. He was predeceased by a sister Patricia.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing at Bethel Evangelical Congregational Church, 3716 Main St, Conestoga, PA 17516 on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow the viewing at the church at 11:00 am with Pastor Fred Maury officiating.
Interment in Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
