Olive Mildred Rinier

O. Mildred Rinier “Millie”, 97, passed away November 29, 2024 at Brethren Village. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Millie and Guy Stambaugh, Sr.

She retired from RCA in 1987 after 26 years. Millie was very passionate for all animals, especially her beloved dogs and cats, who she cared for over the years and took them in. She also loved to crochet and made many afghans for her family and was an avid reader of James Patterson books and loved to do puzzles.

She was the wife of Richard, who passed in 2021. They shared 75 years of marriage together. She is survived by two daughters; Susan Rhoads, wife of Robert and Bonnie Mellinger, and her great granddaughter Jennifer Mellinger. Millie was preceded in death by her grandson, Curt Mellinger and a brother, Guy Stambaugh Jr.

Millie’s family would like to especially thank all the “Special” people at Brethren Village who took such kind and loving care of her while she was a resident there “you know who you are”.

Graveside services will be held at Riverview Burial Park on Duke St. in Lancaster PA. on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 1 pm. Under the direction of the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster PA 17602.
