Pastor Barry A. Wolfe

Pastor Barry A. Wolfe, 68, of Lancaster, PA. died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at his home. He was the loving husband of Rona M. Wolfe. Born in Lebanon PA, he was the son of the late Allen and Alma Wolfe.

In addition to his wife, Rona, he is survived by his daughter Christina wife of Larry Hagen of Akron and son Jonathan Wolfe husband of Beth of Lancaster. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren Jory, Mason, Joshua, Ella, Olivia and Madison and sisters Nellie Raiger and Gloria Wentling of Palmyra. A brother, Russell Wolfe preceded him in death.

A graduate of S. Lebanon High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Houghton College, NY.  He graduated with a Masters in Divinity at Gordon Conwell Seminary in MA.

He served the following 6 United Methodist Church churches: Byfield, MA; Lincoln St., Shamokin; Asbury, Allentown; Hope, Ephrata; First, Lancaster; and Grace UM, Millersville. He retired in 2008 from Grace United Methodist of Millersville.

He loved serving the Lord in many ministries like Bridge of Hope, Compassion Int., and Big Brothers to name a few. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Grace United Methodist Church, 163 W. Frederick St., Millersville, PA on Saturday, July 28

th

at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. John Laughlin and the Rev. James B. Todd officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday, July 27

th

from 6:00-8:00 P.M., and on Saturday immediately following the Memorial Service.

Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
