Patsy L. Brenneman Gerlach went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. A majestic prelude of organ and piano music ushered her into her heavenly home.
Patsy recently celebrated 57 years of marriage to her husband Earl B. Gerlach. Born in Millersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Willis H. and Pauline Strubel Brenneman.
She was a graduate of Penn Manor High School Class of 1957. After high school she entered nursing school at Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, and graduated in August of 1960 and was certified in College Healthcare. A Registered Nurse, she retired from Millersville University Health Services in 2004.
Patsy was a gifted organ and piano player and blessed many people over the years with that talent. She enjoyed crafts such as needlework, sewing, knitting, cross stitch, and making Christmas ornaments and decorations. She was always working on several projects at a time.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Michael (Debra) Gerlach of Millersville, and Jeffrey (Marianne) Gerlach of Lancaster; a sister, Nancy Y. Barley of Millersville; five granddaughters, Ellen (Alan), Kate (Geoff), Autumn, Aleda (Jason), and Anissa (Alex); and six great grandchildren, Rhya, Isaac, Ada, Kora, Karalyn and Abe; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved having her grandchildren and great grandchildren surround her. She will be greatly missed by all.
